Deleting your account
Nexus is made by Compendium Systems. You can delete your Nexus account at any time.
In the app
Go to Settings › User profile › Delete account. You will be asked to sign in once more, then your account is deleted straight away.
Without the app
Email info@compendiumnav.com from the email address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my Nexus account". We will confirm the request with you by email and delete the account within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account information and your sign-in details.
- Your devices' notification tokens; you are signed out on every device.
- Your links to your boats, invitations you sent that were not used, and your requests to join a boat.
- Our cloud copy of a boat's Ship's Log, if you were the only person on that boat. Where your name appears in a log that others still use, it is replaced with "a former crew member".
What is kept, and for how long
- The record of which Terms of Service and Privacy Policy you agreed to, when, and the email address you agreed under: six years after the deletion, then deleted.
- Records of alarm notifications sent for a boat: up to 30 days.
- Routine server logs: a limited period, for security and troubleshooting.
The Ship's Log stored on a boat's own Nexus unit is not on our servers and is not touched. The Privacy Policy has the details.
